Terms of Use

Last updated: 2026-05-08

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the NavOption iOS application and related services (collectively, the "Service") provided by the NavOption team. By installing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Educational use only

The Service produces options-strategy research, multi-persona analysis, price-band projections, and other quantitative outputs solely for educational and informational purposes. The Service is not investment, trading, tax, legal, or financial advice, and is not a recommendation, solicitation, or offer to buy, sell, or hold any security, derivative, or other financial instrument. You are solely responsible for any decision you make based on information from the Service.

Past performance, model output, or backtest results do not predict or guarantee future returns. Trading options involves substantial risk of loss and is not suitable for all investors.

2. Account and eligibility

You may use the Service anonymously ("Continue as Guest") or with a Sign in with Apple account. You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use the Service. You agree not to share your account credentials and to notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.

3. Subscriptions (NavOption Pro)

Pro features are available through auto-renewing subscriptions purchased via Apple's In-App Purchase system:

Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the same rate. You can manage and cancel your subscriptions in your Apple ID Account Settings on the App Store.

If a free trial is offered at the time of purchase, any unused portion of the trial period is forfeited when you purchase the subscription.

Prices in territories other than the United States are determined by Apple's auto-pricing matrix and shown in your local currency at checkout. Refunds are handled by Apple per Apple Media Services Terms.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

5. Data sources and accuracy

The Service ingests publicly-available market data from third-party providers (e.g., Yahoo Finance, the Schwab options chain) and proprietary persona definitions. We do our best to ensure accuracy but the Service is provided "as is" and we make no warranty about completeness, timeliness, or correctness. Quote data may be delayed by 15 minutes or more depending on tier and market session.

6. Intellectual property

NavOption, the persona rubrics, the LLM prompts, the analysis pipeline architecture, and all related materials are the intellectual property of the NavOption team. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for individual research only.

7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", without warranty of any kind. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. In no event will we be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, including any losses from trading decisions made based on Service output.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the app and (if applicable) cancelling your subscription in Apple ID Account Settings. We may suspend or terminate the Service or your access for any breach of these Terms or for operational reasons.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, for users with active accounts, by an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after the change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing law and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the operator's home jurisdiction without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. For questions about these Terms, contact us at [email protected].
